A Streamline Dot Flow Field Design for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell

Flow field optimization plays a vital role in improving the output performance of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), especially at high current density. A streamline dot flow is proposed this study to enhance mass transfer reactant gas and compared it with parallel, rectangular dot, rhombic fields. The influence tail length block on further analyzed. results show that uniform distributions pressure oxygen molar fraction are significantly increased fields parallel field. In fields, vortices produced behind blocks could increase resistance drop. Among six models, 2 mm has most density distribution PEM-CL cross section, its index uniformity (IUCD) smallest value 0.012991. And model largest IUCD. Compared field, by 4.9%.
